Rivalee Stokes | Class of 2026 Discus Recruit | Medford, WI
Rivalee Stokes
A school-record discus thrower with marks that profile above Division III. The Medford, Wisconsin product threw a personal-best 143'0" to win the 2026 WIAA Division 2 Sectional and set the Medford school record. A UW-Eau Claire commit who has earned the chance to compete higher — and is open to it.
UW-Eau Claire Commit · Open to D2 & AboveStill Climbing, Not Cresting
Look at the curve, not just the number. Rivalee added roughly 13 feet from her junior-year state mark to her senior personal best — and the PR landed at the highest-pressure meet of her season. This is a thrower whose ceiling hasn't been found yet, which is exactly why she's looking up a level.
Multi-Event, Multi-Sport — Not a Specialist
Rivalee isn't a single-event project. She competes in both the discus and the shot put, giving a program scoring flexibility across the throws.
She's also a varsity hockey player — and that matters. Hockey builds the explosive lower-half power, hip rotation, and competitive edge that translate directly into the throwing circle. Multi-sport athletes arrive coachable and athletically broad rather than over-specialized. Her best technical throwing is still ahead of her — exactly the upside a throws coach can develop.
A Proven Big-Meet Performer
- PR'd under maximum pressure. Her 143'0" came at the sectional with a state berth on the line — not at a low-stakes early invite.
- School-record holder. Her 143'0" stands as the Medford program record in the discus.
- Conference champion & record holder. Won the GNC and reset the conference discus record at 131'9".
- State medalist as a junior. 6th at the 2025 D2 state meet — and she's now throwing more than a foot beyond the mark that won that meet.
- Back-to-back state qualifier. Earned a state berth in both 2025 and 2026.
Marks That Profile Up a Level
Rivalee has committed to UW-Eau Claire, but her numbers profile above the Division III range. A school-record 143'0" discus — set as a senior and still rising — sits squarely in the NCAA Division II and NAIA recruiting band, with developmental Division I upside given how fast she's improving.
For a D2-or-higher throws program, she's a thrower who can contribute and keep growing — the rare case where the trajectory, not just the current mark, is the reason to make the call.
Open to Division II & Above
Rivalee has committed to UW-Eau Claire and is open to Division II or higher opportunities. Coaches are welcome to connect through her recruiting profile.
